Welcome to Apnea Coach (“the App”), operated by WebClimb.

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Apnea Coach collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the App.

By using Apnea Coach, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. About Apnea Coach

Apnea Coach is a freediving and breath-hold training application designed to help users perform structured CO2 and O2 training sessions, monitor progress, and optionally connect compatible Bluetooth heart-rate devices.

The App is intended for training and educational purposes only and is not a medical device.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the App, Apnea Coach may collect and store the following information.

a) Training Session Data

The App may store:

• Breath-hold durations

• Recovery durations

• Session history

• Personal bests

• Weekly statistics

• Training table configurations

• Session timestamps

• Progress and trend data

This information is used to provide core app functionality.

b) Heart Rate Data

If you choose to connect a Bluetooth heart-rate monitor, the App may collect:

• Live heart-rate readings

• Per-round heart-rate summaries

• Timestamped heart-rate samples

• Heart-rate graphs and trends

Heart-rate data is processed only to provide training features within the App.

The App does not provide medical analysis or diagnosis.

c) Device and Technical Information

The App may automatically collect limited technical information such as:

• Device model

• Android version

• App version

• Crash reports

• Diagnostic information

This information may be used to improve app stability and performance.

3. Permissions Used by the App

Apnea Coach may request the following Android permissions depending on enabled features:

The App only requests permissions necessary for its features.

4. How Your Information Is Used

Information collected by Apnea Coach is used to:

• Provide training functionality

• Save session history and statistics

• Display progress tracking

• Support BLE heart-rate monitoring

• Improve app reliability and performance

• Diagnose crashes and technical issues

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Storage

Apnea Coach stores your training tables, session history, app settings and, if you connect a compatible monitor, heart-rate readings and the saved monitor name and Bluetooth address in the app's private storage on your device.

Android's built-in backup is enabled for the App. Depending on your device and backup settings, Android may back up the App's database and preferences to your device's backup provider and restore them after reinstalling the App or setting up another device. This may include training history, heart-rate records, custom training tables, app settings and saved monitor details. Android may also transfer app data directly between devices during setup. These are Android platform backup and transfer features; Apnea Coach does not operate its own cloud-sync or backup service.

You can manage Android backup through your device and backup-account settings. Availability and restoration depend on the device, Android version and backup provider; a successful restore is not guaranteed.

6. Third-Party Services

The current App does not include an in-app analytics, advertising, payment or Firebase SDK, and it does not send training or heart-rate records to a WebClimb server. Google Play and Android services may separately handle app distribution, crash diagnostics, and the Android backup or device-transfer features described above, under their own policies. If the App adds an online service in a later release, this policy will be updated before that service is used.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We may disclose information only:

• When required by law

• To protect legal rights

• To prevent fraud or abuse

• To trusted service providers necessary to operate the App

8. Data Retention

Training history and heart-rate records remain in the App until you delete them in the App, clear the App's data, or uninstall it. These actions remove the current local copy as applicable, but a copy previously made by Android backup may remain with the backup provider according to your device and account settings and may be restored later. To manage or remove backup copies, use your Android device and backup-account controls. Technical diagnostics handled by Google Play or Android are subject to those services' retention policies.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access your data

• Request deletion of your data

• Withdraw consent

• Request correction of inaccurate information

You may also uninstall the App at any time.

10. Children’s Privacy

Apnea Coach is not directed toward children under 13 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Health and Safety Disclaimer

Apnea Coach is intended for educational and training purposes only.

Freediving and breath-hold training involve inherent risks and should always be practiced responsibly and safely.

The App is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, supervision, or certified freediving instruction.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
